As many of you have probably already heard (either from me, this blog or one of my family members), I am going to be studying abroad in Australia this summer as a topper to my college experience. I am infinitely lucky to be able to study abroad twice during college, and I could not be happier about choosing the program which I will be attending. I will be spending five weeks (18 June – 25 July) in Australia this summer, right after I graduate, and will be seeing almost all the Australia has to offer (save for the West Coast. Sorry Perth).
As you can see from my ~highly professional~ work done on Google Maps, I will be going to Brisbane, Darwin, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, the Gold Coast and end up in Cairns. Over the past few weeks (I guess it is months now, but no matter), I have been getting together all of the paperwork that I need to get turned in, as well as making payments for the program. As always, this is a pretty stressful time but from first hand experience, I know it is a necessary evil in order to travel the world.
Luckily, this time I do not have to wait hours at a consulate to get a Visa! So there is always a silver lining.
Since this study abroad adventure will begin in less than two months (!!!), I will be updating this blog much more frequently with information about my upcoming voyage, study abroad information in general, posts from The College Tourist (where I also happen to be a travel blogger) as well as my thoughts/feelings about graduating and having to enter into the real world. All of my future posts will be exciting to write (except maybe for those ones about graduating), and I hope you find them interesting to read! If you have any suggestions about what I should do during the time that I am not doing excursions with my class in Australia, please let me know in the comments. I look forward to hearing what you have to say, especially if you have been to Australia before, because this will be my first time in the land down under.
